THE DIVINE WILL OF GOD

The divine will of the God is the concept of God having a design for humanity and the desire to see that this plan is fulfilled.

Have we ever wondered about God's will for our life? We all should and can know the purpose God has for our lives. In fact, God wants us to know the reason He created us and put us here on this earth.

Throughout history, some questions have constantly moved men. Men have always sought the answers to the fundamental questions of life:

"Who are we and why are we here?" Why do we exist? What is our destiny? Why were we created? Do we just exist for a short time and then disappear forever? What sets us apart from the animal world? What makes us different from any of the other living creatures?

Knowing about his origin and about the reason for his existence are important things that everyman must know, be he rich or poor, learned or illiterate, wise or fool.  This is the knowledge that frees man from thoughts of power, fame, riches or wisdom and that leads him to striving for a worthy existence dedicated to the Almighty.

There is a Design of continual perfection working out in the Universe. It is the magnetic impulse which urges people to greater achievements and which advances the condition of humanity. It prompts human beings to grow, to progress, and to reach toward an ever higher consciousness. The Design materializes through high ideals in all fields of human striving, and slowly people begin to improve conditions and to register new possibilities.

The Design is the translation of Divine Purpose. It leads humanity and nations to a higher understanding and a greater implementation of God's purpose. The objectives of the outline include the creation of harmony among nations through mutual understanding and cooperation, the nurturing of spiritual consciousness, and a greater synthesis of the material and the spiritual. The blueprint fosters a spirit of inclusiveness between people of all religions and nations.

The Great Invocation prayer, a mantram, a meditation, given by beloved Djwhal Khul, the Tibetan Teacher, for the New Age and for all Humanity is:

"Essentially a prayer which synthesizes the highest desire, aspiration and spiritual demand of the very soul of all humanity."

God's will for our lives, I think, is divided into two distinct parts that I call general and personal. The first part is for us to accept Him as Lord and Savior. The scriptures say that He is "not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (II Peter 3:9).

God has blessed us with a will. He will never violate our free will. It is one thing that is strictly our own. No one can force us to believe or not to believe.

The second part of His will is more specific. God has a divine design for our lives. He has something for all of us to do. He has blessed us with talents, gifts and abilities which we can use to bring glory and honor to Him.

I can't tell you what God's will is for your life, but I can say that God has one specifically for each life. Only we can fulfill the purpose He has for our life; something which only we can do. God will show us His divine design in which He created us to do, only if we are really interested in it.

I think it helps to have a grasp of the fundamentals of life, especially at a time when we know that all aspects of our understanding are going to be called into question, God created forms from his/her own Being, placed a spark of Its Divinity in them, and sent them on a path of spiritual evolution so that these sparks could one day realize their true identity as Him and in that moment God would meet God. At that moment, God, for His own enjoyment, would experience His own bliss.

The purpose of life is that the only Being makes his oneness intelligible to Himself. He goes through different planes of evolution, to make clear to Himself His oneness. And as long as this purpose is not accomplished, the one and only Being has not reached His ultimate satisfaction, in which lies His divine perfection.

The Divine Will can be put in the words: Material & Spiritual Evolution.

“The really important thing is the knowledge of God’s plan for men. For God has a plan, and that plan is evolution. When once a man has seen that and really knows it, he cannot help working for it and making himself one with it, because it is so glorious, so beautiful, so, because he knows, he is on God’s side, standing for good and resisting evil, working for evolution and not for selfishness.” - Krishnamurti

White Brotherhood master Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov described it, saying “the law of life is evolution, that is, development all the way to perfection.”

“No purely spiritual Buddhi (Divine Soul) can have an independent (conscious) existence before the spark which issued from the pure Essence of the … OVER-SOUL  has: (a) passed through every elemental form of the phenomenal world of that Manvantara [round of life], and (b) acquired individuality, first by natural impulse, and then by self-induced and self-devised efforts (checked by its Karma), thus ascending through all the degrees of intelligence, from the lowest to the highest Manas, from mineral and plant, up to the holiest archangel (Dhyani-Buddhas).

If a tree understood the Law of Cosmic Love, it would gradually be transformed into an animal; and if the animal applied Cosmic Love, it would be transformed into a human being and the human being – into an angel.

So all is evolution, but not just physical evolution, as Darwin suspected, but spiritual evolution as well.

  1. Free will is God’s gift to man for self-determination. It allows us to create, to be co-creators with God and with one another. We can use the divine light and energy flowing to us in whatever way we choose. We can fulfill our desires for good or ill. We can change things.

Every single day and moment, in everything we do, we are exercising our free will. So free will is the pivot of existence and true being.
God understands that we will come in contact with all things in this world. We will learn our lessons, pass some of our tests and not necessarily all, overcome some temptations and not necessarily others. The fruit of all these experiences is our self-mastery and a greater love that intensifies within us as we are gradually liberated from the lower self and unite with our Higher Self.

People sometimes think in terms of predestination and destiny. But in reality, we determine the outcome of our fate every day by our free-will choices of what we do with our circumstances. And circumstances is another word for karma.
